HLC Smart

The HLC Smart is a support system that has been specially optimized for the motorhome market. Even though we have dispensed with the hose rupture protection known from the Pro series in the HLC Smart, the support system can still be used to change wheels. However, assembly work may only be carried out after the raised load has been secured – for example with a jack stand. In addition, the HLC Smart still offers an extremely high level of system security, which is comparable to or even better than the known support systems on the market. Among other things, the hose connections – as with the Pro series – are located in the head area of ​​each hydraulic cylinder. This ensures that the hydraulic lines are laid in a way that is tear-proof. Also as with the Pro series, an emergency retraction function ensures that all lifting cylinders are automatically retracted when the engine is started. A PIN-protected immobilizer also contributes to further system security. Many other safety features of the Goldschmitt Pro series are also used in the HLC Smart: overheating protection, electromagnetic compatibility testing (EMC testing), event memory and much more.

Goldschmitt’s hydraulic jack systems are more than reliable due to their quality and the precise interaction between hardware and software and are only very rarely affected by faults. Nevertheless, we want to give our customers the security of being able to restore the vehicle’s drivability even in the rare event of a system failure. There are two options available to you for this:

Emergency lowering function (standard)
In general, all variants of the HLC Smart have a standard emergency lowering function, which can be used to lower the leveled vehicle and manually retract or push in the hydraulic supports. However, this requires intervention on the hydraulic unit or reconnecting the hydraulic lines as well as professional securing of the vehicle.

Electric emergency release (optional)
The HLC Smart can optionally be fitted or retrofitted with an electric emergency release. This allows emergency lowering to be carried out safely and conveniently from the driver’s seat. This is made possible by an adapter that is attached to the hydraulic unit between the oil distributor and the oil connections. The adapter has an integrated switching valve and can be connected to a cigarette lighter via a power cable. When plugged in, the switching valve is opened by the current pulse, which allows the oil to return to the oil tank. The vehicle’s own weight pushes the pistons upwards. The hydraulic cylinders can then be pushed in manually.

In addition to Goldschmitt, there are several other suppliers on the market who sell a wide variety of hydraulic systems. None of them has the “jack of all trades”. Advantages that one competitor does not have, another may have and vice versa. From a technical point of view, it is therefore almost impossible to develop a system that combines all of the advantages. However, we are convinced that the advantages of our hydraulic systems come closest to meeting the requirements and wishes of our customers and many other motorhome owners.

Advantages of the Pro series over the competition:
The Goldschmitt Pro series is unique in terms of the sum of its safety-relevant features (central hydraulic unit, safety valves on each support, hose connections at the top, emergency start function, immobilizer, emergency operation, pressure monitoring, overheating protection, EMC testing). Thanks to the aforementioned safety valves, the Pro series is also suitable and approved as a car jack.

Advantages of the HLC Smart over the competition:
The HLC Smart scores points primarily for its excellent ease of use and its enormous ease of installation. The waterproof unit can be mounted directly on the frame or under the vehicle. As a result and thanks to the wireless Bluetooth control unit, no line or cable feedthroughs are necessary in the motorhome structure. Many other functions can be accessed with the free smartphone app, including diagnostic tools, language settings, calibrations and much more. With a quiescent current of 0 milliamperes, the system does not consume any energy in standby mode, which protects the battery during longer periods of downtime. The central hydraulic unit has the advantage that all components are only required once. This saves weight, installation space, assembly and service time. Last but not least, sources of interference are reduced to a minimum. The HLC Smart also ensures that the hydraulic lines are laid in a way that is secure against tearing with its hose connections on top.
